Lions director of coaching Dick Muir on Tuesday concentrated on defence at the Lions' training in Wellington, New Zealand, where the team is preparing for Saturday's Super 14 match against the Hurricanes.
"We've had a good run and all the guys are fit. There's a good spirit in the camp, but the guys were tired after the session and we'll have an early night tonight (Tuesday night), " Muir said from New Zealand on Tuesday.
Although the team worked hard on their defence the other aspects were not neglected. Muir emphasised.
He is not preturbed by criticism about the 18-try feast at Coca-Cola Park on Friday night where the Lions came back from a 40-point deficit to lose 72-65 against the Chiefs, with both sides scoring nine tries.
"I think it was a good thing," he said.
"You had two sides trying to play some running rugby, and if the defence had held everyone would have said it was a good game."
The side for Saturday's match will only be announced on Thursday.
One change to the starting line-up is assured due to the one-week suspension of lock Willem Stoltz.
He will be replaced by either Jacques Lombaard who came off the bench in the first two matches or George Earl with the other one on the bench. Changes among the replacements are also likely.
Late inclusion in the squad Robert Kruger will take the place of Jonathan Mokuena on the bench and at the back it is likely that centre Walter Venter will be in the match-22.
Earl Rose can take over from flyhalf Carlos Spencer if needed - and with one of the Lions centers Doppies la Grange and Deon van Rensburg probably to be rested during the game after two tough matches against good and big opponents, Burton Francis will probably have to sit out this one altogether.
